Yeah, that seems to be the opinion on the LJ as well. If I do post up a chapter, I'll probably preface it with a short blurb.

I'll wait a few days before I decide what to do. Heck, maybe I'll do an illustration to go with it if I'm in the mood! It's been a while since I've done that.

(No, I am not the amazing artist who did the banner on the website here. I just paid her. My own illustrations will be a lot more cartoony and a lot less brilliant, but they'll do).

Fair enough! I get creeped out sometimes when I'm swimming in water where I can't see the bottom. Heights don't bother me so much, luckily, but I can definitely understand why they freak some people out.

Fear is rarely rational, but there's always something rational at its base. It always comes down to danger, and not knowing something adds to it. If you can't see it or don't understand it, you can't protect yourself from it. That's why the dark is scary to pretty much everyone.

Oh, and I forgot to add planes and boats. Planes make me tremble uncontrollably (not for any real reason that I can tell you, they just do) and I lose sleep on boats. Uh, actually, I'm not really afraid of boats, I just don't like them.

Um, I dislike not being able to see the ground beneath my feet, as in that moment when you reach the top of a hill and all you can see is sky (but heights in general too). I run screaming from just the thought of spiders and jump out of my skin when I see dust move and then stop abruptly (like spiders do). I also have a fear of what's on the inside of my skin, just knowing that I'm sloshing around in there and things are dying and going places and generally being sloppy and messing creeps me out - it's why I didn't do biology at school. This is probably where my OCD about personal hygiene and a desperate need for a sense of general cleanliness comes from. I also don't swim, large bodies of water give me the creeps, large empty spaces, large spaces filled with people (like trains - which I catch, much to my immense distaste, every day) and while it may not be a FEAR as such, I don't like the sun and will go miles out of my way to avoid it.
Makes you wonder how I can bear to exist doesn't it?

I think it should be a little after the release of Shadow Heir. So I can go and get all your books signed and can despite over the long wait for the next book!!

Yeah, that'd be the one! I went exploring and found it. Found the Scott Westerfeld book I'd been looking for too!
Well, you've got yourself a deal. I'll post here to say when I'm next going to Sydney. Not sure when that'll be, but it'll happen eventually.

Gosh, I'm sorry - I held a contest a while ago, which is now closed.

But don't worry! Once I have copies I shall put them up on eBay, and each one will be signed to whoever buys it. No matter how many I sell I'll keep putting up fresh ones for as long as people ask me to.

I don't have anything scheduled for Sydney, but I do go up there every so often just because I like being there. If you like I can say so here next time I'm going, and arrange to be in that giant Dymocks I found last time. It'd be no big inconvenience to me.
