That’s a good suggestion, but the first chapters of The Dark Griffin kind of covered that already. Did I ever mention I was a huge fan of the novel White Fang when I was a kid? Well, I was, and the influence must be pretty obvious.

I’m not sure if i could pick one favorite character but i think it would be an interesting insight into the life of a wild Griffin if you did a story on Darkhearts wild years

Actually, I already have written two stories that reveal more about the gods – I’ve just been keeping them under wraps. I haven’t written anything about the creation of the world, though, because there’s nothing to tell – my universe didn’t have a supernatural beginning of any kind; there are various creation myths, but none of them are even slightly true.

I think it would be really cool if you talked more about the gods and their relationship with each other. Mabe a bit about how the world was created. You should try and make it really dramatic.

Thankyou so much! I really enjoyed writing these short stories, and I like reading over them because it refreshes my memory and helps me think up new ideas. I haven’t written any prequel stories like this for a while, and I kind of miss it. Is there a character you would like to learn more about? If so, maybe I could write another one of these, just for you!

Very very good story I have read the first four books and I am very much awaiting the 5th I absolutely love the fact that you have come back and done so many back stories it makes the entire world so much more interesting and I am very glad I started reading your novels keep up the amazing work and I will read anything you write

Damn. I should’ve known an actual Welsh-speaker would come along and correct me. I got it out of a book, though; I didn’t make it up. In it there’s this really huge character who was brought up by a withered old character, and their neighbours from back in the day say something like “d’you know what we used to call them, being such an odd pair? ‘The Fach and the Fawr’ – ‘the little and the big’.” I guess it was Mr Horwood who got it wrong, then.

They are lovely! In Welsh though, I’m sure you’d usually use ‘Mawr’ and ‘Bach’, unless I’ve got the tenses wrong or something, my nickname was ‘Bach’ for little.
